I don’t get to do these kinds of shoots very often, but I love it! I love capturing this once in a lifetime moment that is so special, so sweet, and so powerful. Garrett and Lauren were engaged this past saturday at Brenners Steakhouse on the Bayou, and I was so honored to be a small part of it. Enjoy a few images that capture the special moment, and leave them a comment to congratulate them!

I LOVE her reaction on the right, and his look of relief on the bottom left

Now for a quick little portrait session! Despite the full sun and zillion degree weather, they looked fantastic!

love love love this.

From Caroline…
Q. Who was with you throughout the process of finding your wedding dress?
A. My dad, mom, mother-in-law, sisters, and sister-in-law all helped me find that “perfect” dress.
Q. Did you know exactly what you were looking for in a wedding dress?
A. I had an idea about what I wanted. I knew that I wanted something slim fitting without too much “puffiness” and beautifully ordaned.
Q. How many dresses/locations had you tried before you finally found the perfect dress?
A. 12ish/5 different bridal shops
Q. Describe the moment you realized “this is my dress.”
A. I saw the dress in a window and absolutely loved it. I tried it on and felt a sigh of relief because I was done looking. A huge weight had been lifted and I carried a big smile around for a few hours after.
Q. What do you love about your dress and how does it make you feel?
A. I love the way the dress falls elegantly behind me and the intricate detail. The dress is obviously important, but I couldn’t wait until my husband saw it… I wanted to see the look on his face which made me feel extremely loved and blessed.
Tara and Justin are an awesome couple! I loved being a part of their big day 1) because they are, in fact, awesome and 2) because their wedding was a blast! It was definitely a fun one to capture as well as absolutely beautiful and very very sweet.
Make sure to read their wedding recap at the bottom of the post!
