Stephanie’s Bridals

Posted on October 29, 2007

This was an incredible shoot. Stephanie looked beautiful in an elegant wedding gown that had this timeless quality to it. Her look matched the era of the amazing 1920’s mansion we shot in near Rice University. She was so easy to work with, and needed hardly any direction at all. We definitely got some portfolio shots from this session!

The Book is Here

You’ve heard me talk about it before. Houston, It’s worth it, is a pro-bono ad campaign put on by Houston based ad firm, ttweak, created to help Houstonians be proud of our city.  The highlight of the campaign is a 304 page photography book with unique photographs taken by Houston photographers. That book will be available this weekend at local bookstores in Houston and on Amazon.com. I am one of the 128 photographers featured in the book. The book is available for $35.

Jennifer and Drew’s Engagement

Jennifer and Drew are a very cool couple I met at the Bridal Extravaganza in July. We had a really good shoot in Galveston last week, came back with some great images. Enjoy!

So we bought a motorcycle….

Posted on October 11, 2007

That’s right. Tonight Kacie and I bought a Kawasaki Ninja 500R. It is a great looking bike. Designed for beginners to handle, it’s still got quite a bit of pep, with a top speed of 130. Not that I’d ever take it that fast. We bought it used, but in pristine condition with only 700 miles on it. We took the training course last weekend, and are both really excited about riding. This bike will be Kacie’s main mode of transportation to school in the Medical Center and I look forward to stealing it whenever I can to go have a little fun. (I’m really hoping to get another bike in the next 6 months or so…) Right now we just ride it around the parking garage though, because we don’t have any safety gear yet (going shopping tomorrow!). Some point-and-shoot pics below, maybe some more creative ones later…..

Melissa and Gardner’s Engagement

Posted on October 4, 2007

Last friday we had a really great shoot with Melissa and Gardner. Melissa has such a great smile, and Gardner (after a little warming up) was able to really let his personality shine through. He had brought a bunch of shirts, but Melissa really wanted him to wear the pink one. Her mom seconded that, and then they asked Kacie and I and we agreed, so he thought Melissa and called us all in order to conspire against him :-) Afterwards we went to the fabulous Cafe Adobe for some awesome Tex Mex. Not a bad night!

I’m trying something a little different here, tell me what you think!
