Ashley and Matt’s Wedding
Posted on May 30, 2009
Ashley and Matt were married at St. John Vianney and then threw an awesome party at The Houstonian. Alia with Belle of the Ball did an AMAZING job putting the whole thing together, and despite a little (ok a lot of) rain, Ashley and Matt had an amazing time! Their families, bridal party, and well, everyone, were so amazing and fun to hang out with! Below are some of my favorites images from the day!
Did I mention the rain?
Huge props to the church coordinator who let me hide out behind the stage and get some great shots!
The ballroom was GORGEOUS!
As usual, Rob with Events in Bloom did an AMAZING job.
Definitely one of my favorite bouquet toss shots!
Thanks, Ashley and Matt, for letting me hang out with you all day!

Jessica and Christopher’s Engagements
Posted on May 30, 2009
I first met Jessica and Christopher at Sarah Beth and Nathan’s wedding (Christopher is Sarah Beth’s brother). Their wedding is coming up in June, and I’m also shooting Christopher’s cousin’s wedding in July. I love keeping it all in the family! Anyway, here are some of my favorite shots from our shoot downtown!
My Favorite!
Thanks guys for a great shoot! I can’t wait until June!

Meet the Butcher Family
Posted on May 26, 2009
Josh and Lesley are two of the smartest people I know, and Jaden is definitely one of the smartest 2 year olds I have ever met! I did this session for them as a thank-you for a little piece of custom software Josh wrote for me (which has definitely made my life easier!) and we had a ton of fun! Jaden was in a great mood, Lesley was beautiful, and Josh was, well, Josh.
Enjoy some of my favorites from the session!

Julie and Aaron’s Wedding
Posted on May 22, 2009
Julie is my really awesome cousin, and Aaron is her really awesome husband! They held a small family ceremony at Clear Lake Park then celebrated at Landry’s restaurant in Kemah. It was pretty crazy seeing her get married! I have many fond memories of building (and subsequently tearing down) blanket-forts, eating play-doh, and generally getting into trouble with her as kids. I’m so excited that she found the right man for her, in Aaron, and I look forward to our kids playing and growing up together!
She got ready at my parents’ house.
This is my Uncle Henry.
Ok. I really loved Aaron’s suit. I might have to get myself one…
Gorgeous!

THE SLIDESHOW!
Thanks for letting me document your day, Julie and Aaron. Love you guys!

Anyone want to rent my Loft?
Posted on May 20, 2009
When Kacie and I moved to the heights, we decided to keep our loft near Minute maid Park and rent it out. It is a very cool loft located in the warehouse district of downtown Houston. It’s not one of those fake lofts that are really brand new apartments with exposed duct work. This one’s the real deal. Concrete floors and ceilings (12-foot ceilings at that), New-York-loft style balcony, rooftop terrace, all in a building built in 1923. Anyway, instead of yaking about it here I put together a little website with all the info and pictures. Check it out here:
Thanks for looking, and if you know anyone who might be interested, send them the link! Thanks!

Katie and John’s Wedding!
Posted on May 19, 2009
Katie and John are a very cool, relaxed, and down to earth couple. And their wedding fit their personalities perfectly! The guys started off the day golfing, while the girls prepared for the wedding at Katie’s parents’ home. They held their beautiful ceremony at Christ United Methodist Church in Sugarland, and their reception at Texas Safari Ranch. The ballroom was gorgeous, and the flowers and decorations really made the place look great. Enjoy some photos from their wedding!
“Brown eyed girl….”
LOVE this perspective on the processional!
They had a very cool (and very well-stocked) candy bar

Cindy and Richard’s “Groomals”
Posted on May 17, 2009
So a “groomal” session is like a bridal portrait session, but with the bride AND the groom. Some people call them “day after” sessions, or even Trash the Dress (TTD) sessions (if indeed the dress is trashed). This ended up being a TTD, even though it wasn’t originally planned….
Cindy and Richard are an amazing couple, and are incredibly fun to be around. Their engagement portraits were awesome, their wedding was awesome, so you could only expect their groomals to be awesome! We shot in this really cool abandoned building in the warehouse district, and then, like their engagement portraits, we finished things off with a little water…..
Love it!
Love it again!
It got VERY dark in there, so the only way I could focus was to have blake light up his iPhone and hold it in front of them….
Don’t drop that umbrella, Richard….!
… or you’ll get… wet ![]()
Thanks for a great shoot, Richard and Cindy, and thanks for being willing to ruin your clothes!

Barden Family!
Posted on May 14, 2009
More of Kacie’s Pictures! The Bardens (Chris, Suzie, Cooper, and Kaley) are very close friends of ours, and this was Kacie’s first family portrait session! I think she did an amazing job! She’s working on building her skills and Chris and Suzie volunteered their family to be our her guinea pigs! Leave some love and let Kacie know how great she did!

Eden is the daughter of our friends Julie and Dan, and is incredibly cute! This was Kacie’s first time to try her hand at children photography, and she and Eden had a blast!
