Megan and Nick’s Engagements

Posted on April 26, 2010

I absolutely LOVE this session with Megan and Nick. We started off shooting around Herman Park, finished up with a couple drinks and some shots (not those kind of shots) at 13? Celsius in Midtown, and then got some incredible tex-mex at The Original Ninfas on Navigation.

Megan is laughing because I was calling Nick by the wrong name for the whole first pose. Isn’t that right, Drew?

Love love love.

And I love these next two…

Make that three…

And finally a couple shots we grabbed at a really cool wine bar, 13? Celsius.

Thanks for a great time, Megan and Nick!

Ashley and Paul’s Groomals

Posted on April 23, 2010

What’s a Groomal you ask? It’s kind of like a bridal portrait, but throw in a groom for good measure. Groomal.

Ashley and Paul are simply one of my favorite couples ever. They booked me for their wedding over a year out, and ever since we took their engagements waaaay back in 2008, I knew they were going to be a blast to work with. Their wedding at Holy Rosary/Hotel Derek last November was killer, and when we finally got around to taking their groomals (after getting rained out 3 times) a few weeks ago, they did not disappoint. Anyway, here are some of my favorite images from the session. Please leave a comment if you like what you see!

We started off at Hotel Derek. (Thank you Stacy for hooking us up!)

This one is going on the first page of their wedding album. Cuz’ they’re cool like that.

Then we took advantage of the gorgeous weather and finished up at Uptown Park.

Love love love this last one (bottom right)! Paul says it makes them look cooler than they actually are. I said maybe you guys just are that cool!

Thank you Ashley and Paul for being such awesome clients!

Korie and Kirk’s Wedding

Posted on April 22, 2010

Korie and Kirk are a super-great couple that live in Nashville. You might remember they had me come up there for there engagement session, and I really enjoyed getting to know them! Their wedding was a beautiful event, with the ceremony held at Chapelwood United Methodist Church and the Reception at Lakeside Country Club. Their planner, Karen Brown, made sure everything went off without a hitch! Here are some of my favorite images from the day:

Don’t forget to watch the slideshow!

Thanks for an amazing time, Korie and Kirk!

Elizabeth and Ryan’s Engagements

We took Elizabeth and Ryan’s engagement photos at Lake Side Country Club, where they’re having their reception. Here are some of my favorites!

Erika and Jed’s Engagement Session

Posted on April 18, 2010

Erika and Jed are a really, really cool couple who I really hit it off with. Since they live in the Village (Rice Village, that is), and really love the area, we took their photos just walking around there, and then had dinner at one of my favorite spots, Hungrys. Here are some of my faves! Please leave a comment!

Thanks for a great shoot, Erika and Jed!

Michelle and Heath’s Wedding – College Station, TX

Posted on April 15, 2010

Michelle and Heath are a really great couple that were married in College Station, TX. One of the things I really loved about this wedding was not only Michelle and Heath’s great relationship, but you could also tell that they come from amazing families who care greatly about them. It was an incredibly fun evening with lots of love all around. Here are some of my favorites from the day. Don’t forget to leave a comment!

Also, many thanks to Matthew of Studio 563 for helping me out on this shoot!

They did this cute little thing were they exchanged gifts without seeing each other.

It was fareezing at outside, so I didn’t make the girls go out there for their photos.

Father and Daughter share a moment just before walking down the aisle.

My shot on left, Matthews on right.

Love the sweetness in this image!

Heath’s groom’s cake was a firetruck (because he is a fireman) and the fire dogs were modeled after their two bull dogs. :)

They DJ made heath do a little dance-off in order to “earn” the right to take off Michelle’s garter. Needless to say, he didn’t fail to entertain.

And don’t forget to watch the slideshow!

Brooke and Tony’s Wedding

Posted on April 6, 2010

Brooke and Tony are good friends from our church, and when they told me about the unique wedding they were planning, and asked me to shoot it, I was honored! They had their wedding in the Texas hill country outside Austin at a place called Star Hill Ranch. The weather was perfect, Brooke and Tony looked amazing, and all-in-all it was a fantastic day! Here are some of my favorite images.

The “Brides House”

This is one of my favorite dress shots. So simple and classic.

The “Grooms House”

Brooke was a very happy bride, as you can can tell from the skipping. :)

Just before their First Look.

We had LOTS of time to take really great portraits!

Their ceremony took place after sunset and was only lit by candle light.

After these two shots, I used nothing but the candles to expose my images.

Don’t forget to watch the slideshow!

Thanks for making me a part of your wedding day, Brooke and Tony! I loved it!

Caden Standing

Posted on April 4, 2010

Here’s an image from a quick little shoot I did with Caden on the way to dinner yesterday. He’s standing by himself now and starting to walk, which is really crazy! Plus he had on a really cool outfit, so I just had to take some pictures. :)

Head on over to the family blog to see some more photos from yesterday and a video of his first steps!

Here’s a yummy little sneak peak from Ashley and Paul’s groomal (kind of like a bridal session, but throw in a groom for good measure) session at Hotel Derek.
