Ashley and Paul’s Wedding – Holy Rosary and Hotel Derek – Houston, TX

Posted on December 17, 2009

Ashley and Paul are one of those couples that from the first time you meet them you know they’re going to be a blast to work with. They booked me over a year before their wedding, and we shot their engagement portraits right away. I had so much fun on that shoot I couldn’t wait to see them again, but I had to wait a long time. :( It was worth it though! Their wedding and reception was as fun and unique as they are, and their families, bridal party, and guests didn’t disappoint either. Here are some of my favorites from the day. Don’t forget to watch the slideshow at the bottom, and leave a comment!

Ashley got ready at the hotel.

She felt bad for writing her note to Paul at the last minute. I told her not to worry, most people do. :)

Paul is one of the best-dressed guys you will ever meet.

Love this shot! Many thanks to my friend Gary Guy who shot this wedding with me.

I LOVED the way Rob with Events in Bloom decorated the place. Just fantastic.

Ashley’s mom is a baker in Dallas. She did the cake!

Announcing…..

Before they were announced, the DJ announced each member of the bridal party and they came in couple-by-couple with their own intro-music and choreography. It was hilarious! Then the DJ did a little mini-roast of each person using info Ashley and Paul gave him. I was rolling. :)

So were Ashley and Paul…

Love this! Paul is so hilarious!

There were so many Aggies there it was ridiculous. :P

Air-guitar? Yes please.

And I’m ending on this one because it’s one of my favorite shots ever.

THE SLIDESHOW!
(PS- I know this is the second wedding in a row I used the song “Young Folks” for, but I think it fits them perfectly, so just get over it.)
Thanks for an amazing time, Ashley and Paul!
