Hey. A little about me? I’m a wedding and portrait photographer in Houston, TX. I have this philosophy about photography. It should be relational. How can I take great portraits of my clients, and really show their personalities, if I barely know them? My goal is to develop relationships with my clients so that we are more friends than anything else. This way when their wedding rolls around they feel totally comfortable with me around, and I feel I know them well enough to truly capture who they are in the camera. I also have a philosophy that photography should be creative, natural, and un-obtrusive. I avoid using buzz words like “photo journalistic”. I just want my work to be real. And maybe a little raw. Just people being themselves– captured artistically in an image.

I thoroughly enjoy playing sports, running, and working out. I especially love playing soccer. My wife Kacie is gorgeous, intelligent, and essential to the success of my business. I couldn’t do it without her. I’ve been in Houston for most of my life, and despite it’s quirks and unbelievably hot and muggy summers, I really like it here.

Other hobbies of mine involve spending way more money that I should on home theater equipment, wasting investing ridiculous amounts of time surfing researching blogs, especially photo blogs. In general, I have more than I need, and certainly more than I deserve. I have been very blessed in life.

You’ll find this blog is mostly photography, with a little bid of op-ed thrown in, as well as me generally geeking-out over all things photography and technology (Specifically Apple Computers and home theater).
