Erin and Austin’s Wedding – The Petroleum Club

What was your favorite memory of the day? Bride:

So many, but my top two were –

The ceremony – I loved every moment of it. To have all of our friends and family witness us get married was such an overwhelming experience. It was sacred, sweet, and a feeling I’ll always cherish.

Walking into the Petroleum Club ballroom before any guests entered. I think my jaw dropped. Our amazing wedding planner (Mandy Millen of Every Little Detail) and creative vendors had taken the ideas in my head (and on my Pinterest board!) and executed them to perfection.

What was your favorite memory of the day? Groom:

The final dance to “Lights” by Journey with all of our friends and family circling us.

What was your favorite detail? Bride:

Easy – white dance floor with the “Erin & Austin” logo in blush. I had wanted it since the day we got engaged, but it was definitely in the “unnecessary” and “possibly pretentious” category until about one week before the wedding when we caved and went for it. It totally pulled the room together, was super fun to dance on, and was the best “unnecessary” purchase I’ve ever made.

What was your favorite detail? Groom:

E&A napkins at the rehearsal dinner. (Erin’s response to this – “seriously?”)

Do you have any advice for future brides and grooms on the big day? Bride:

Dance more, talk less! We made an effort to say hi to everyone during the cocktail hour, so when the dancing rolled around, we were ready! We selfishly decided in advance that this was not a day to “catch up” with guests we hadn’t seen in five years, but it was a day for us to focus on each other and have a blast with everyone around us.

Do you have any advice for future brides and grooms on the big day? Groom:

Don’t stress; enjoy the day.

Funniest moment from your wedding day? Bride:

Austin’s dance to “Party in the USA” before taking off my garter.

Funniest moment from your wedding day? Groom:

The bridesmaids trying to bustle Erin’s dress at the bowling alley in between ceremony and cocktail hour.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again? Bride:

What was your favorite purchase for the big day? Bride:

Besides the white dance floor, our amazing wedding planner, and all of our creative vendors, I loved my Monique Lhuillier gown. I wish I could wear it every day!

What was your favorite purchase for the big day? Groom:

White dance floor.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Uruguay & Argentina

Who was the florist?

Laura Tran of SCF Events. She was absolutely incredible. With Austin and me living in San Fran, I only had the chance to meet Laura in person once before the wedding. However, she worked closely with our wedding planner to accomplish the vision we had in mind. She blew me away with her creativity, ability to “get” what I was after, and overall amazing taste.

Who made the cake?

Cakes by Gina

Who did your hair and make up?

Blush & Co.

Did you have a videographer? If so, who did you use?

Dustin Stelly of Stelly Weddings

Which band/DJ did you use?

Band: The Pictures, DJ: Impressive Events
