about me
I love.
I love Jesus, my wife, my kids, family, friends, coffee, sci-fi novels, deep dish pizza, chocolate chip cookies, R/C helicopters, soccer, movies that make you think, camping, gadgets, fancy things, words, geeky comic strips, nerdy jokes, music, beauty, relationships, art.
I struggle.
I struggle with pride, doubt, selfishness, and more (just ask my wife!). Struggle is what makes us human. It connects us in the same way love connects us. It defines us in the same way love defines us.
Throughout my life, the images that have moved me the most have been those that capture Love and Struggle. I've chosen to spend my life capturing love. You are what you love. This has literal meaning on your wedding day when you and yours become one.
I have the greatest job in the world because I get to be a part of, and capture forever, that amazing day. It's an incredible honor, and a responsibility I don't take lightly.
the experience
The First Date
My job is to capture the chemistry between you and the one you love. We're going to spend a lot of time together, so we need to make sure we're a great fit both in style and personality.
How do we know if we're a good fit? It all starts with the consultation. Think of it as more of a 'first date.' We're going to test the water a bit. We’ll talk about your relationship, your wedding and how your personal style is going to show through. We'll talk about my photography and how you see it fitting into the vision you have for your wedding.
You'll probably know if we're a good fit right off the bat. That's how it works. My advice is to trust your gut. Wedding photography is a very personal thing, and it’s likely you won’t find the answer you need in a spreadsheet!
The Courtship
I want to have clients who are excited about how my photography fits their wedding, and I want to create images that are going to blow you away. That doesn’t happen without some work. Your engagement session is very important as it provides us a chance to get comfortable working together and it allows me to get a sense of your chemistry as a couple. I work hard to create an atmosphere that is relaxed and fun, so that you guys can truly be yourselves. Afterwards I’ll take you out for a bite and we’ll just hang out— getting to know each other and building trust and rapport.
Before the wedding we’ll have several more opportunities to hang out. Bridal portraits, proofing sessions, and even a planning meeting to make sure we are on the same page before the big day! The end result is a bride and groom who are comfortable with their photographer and will trust him to capture amazing images!
The Honeymoon
We’ll end with what I call the 'honeymoon phase!' While you're off enjoying some tropical paradise, I'll be busy sorting through your photos, processing them, and generally making everyone look fabulous. You’ll receive a link to the images online within 4-6 weeks! Then we will schedule an album ordering meeting.
At the album meeting we’ll pour some wine and you will watch a slideshow of your album first draft. Then we will actually work through the album page-by-page, making changes right there on the spot. In 2 hours or so you will leave with an album design that has been tweaked to perfection and approved to order!
I want my clients not only to have great photos, but I really want you to receive the best level of customer service in the business! I want you to have an experience that blows you away, and will hopefully be the beginning of a lifelong relationship. After all, your parents can only wait so long for grandkids 🙂

Kelley and Buster
Adam and his team truly brought our wedding to life (from engagement pics in NOLA, to bridals, to the wedding, to groomals on the beach). He captured our personalities, and genuine emotions and we felt so comfortable around him. We had so much fun each and every time we got to work him, and Adam,…

Working with Adam and his team was nothing short of a dream come true. We definitely worked with the most talented, creative photographer in Houston, who captured our wedding perfectly. We called our wedding vendors the “Dream Team” throughout the process, and it was really true.

Adam is amazingly talented! He pays attention to detail in every shot, he is very easy to work with, and he has a great turn around time. He is expensive but I think he is 100% worth it since the photos are all that you will have left to remember the biggest day of your…

I was worried about hiring a photographer who would be easy to get along with, but Adam was the complete opposite! He’s just an awesome guy! I really liked how Adam made me feel so comfortable that I could relax and he could work his magic and get great pictures! If you’re thinking of hiring…

My favorite part of my whole experience was getting to know Adam’s personality and allowing him to get to know me. By having three different shoots with him we were able to figure each other out and he captured exactly what I was wanting in all my photos. If I were to recommend Adam to…

What kind of packages do you offer?
My base package that covers just about everyone's needs is $7900. Most clients choose to also add on products or product packages with hand-made albums, parent albums, and other goodies.
How do I book you?
A signed contract and 50% non-refundable retainer is due at the time of booking. I will then turn down all future inquires for that date. My average client books me 8 months out from their wedding, but you should call no matter what to check availability!
What kind of products do you offer?
I take great pride in the quality of my products. I offer top-notch quality albums and prints in a variety of styles to meet everyone's needs. My wedding albums are hand-made by Queensberry in New Zealand, and offer a level of quality and attention to detail you will not find with any other book binder. My prints are all professionally retouched, mounted, and framed before delivery to the client. I also offer canvas gallery wraps and more.
Do you shoot destination weddings?
Absolutely. I enjoy the challenge of shooting in a new location and the opportunity to spend more time with the couple and wedding party. I also often travel for destination engagement sessions. A few places I've been are Buenos Aires, New York, Chicago, San Franciso, The Domincan Republic, Puerto Vallarta, Crested Butte, and Nashville.
