Meet Hannah, The New “Brains of the Operation”
Hi everyone! Nice to meet you. I’m Hannah Bunker, Adam’s new studio manager. Actually I think the official job title is The Brains of the Operation, which is always fun to tell people when they ask what I do. But you can call me Rocket, or Bananameister, or Awesomesauce, or you can just stick with The Brain…that’s cool too. I’ve taken over for Courtney and those are definitely some big shoes to fill! That girl is awesome!
Adam and I decided it would be a nice touch for you all to get to know me a little bit and because I appreciate a grand entrance I decided to hi-jack an entire blog post just to talk about ME. Muahahaha! We agreed to meet up and do a little blog interview in order to help you get to know me better. But I was quick to observe, it’s a little hard to pin Adam down. Maybe he can interview me once he’s done editing pictures, or back from a shoot, or finished eating his sandwich, or drinking his fancy coffee.
Until then, it looks like I’ll have to take matters into my own hands and interview myself, pretending to be Adam. Just imagine that it’s really him conducting the interview.
The interview begins…NOW!
Adam: Hi Hannah, you’re looking lovely today. Did you get a haircut? I notice those kinds of things because I’m cool like that.
Hannah: Thanks, Adam. And yes I did just get a hair cut but it was only a trim.
Adam: That’s what I thought. Are you a natural red-head? It’s so lovely.
Hannah: Yes I am.
Adam: They say that most red-heads are hot-headed. But you probably don’t have a temper, right? Because you’re the nicest person I know.
Hannah: No, I don’t have a temper at all.
Adam: If I were going to buy you a present for absolutely no reason at all what could I buy you?
Hannah: Oh, let’s see…anything with an Apple on it or anything that can take pictures.
Adam: Hold on just a second, let me just jot that down on my ipad. I want to remember that come Christmas time.
*The REAL Adam takes over*
Real Adam: Okay, I’m here. I decided to put down my camera once I saw “Buy Hannah an iPad 3” on my task list. 🙂 Seriously, I’m excited to have you here, Hannah! First off let’s start with telling everyone how we know each other.
Hannah: Well, you and my husband go way back…all the way back to taking road trips to Waco and belting out the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. Every time he and I sing the Elephant Medley, he’s not thinking about me. He’s thinking about you, buddy. haha! Did I say too much? 😉 But yeah, you and Aaron have been friends for a long time and then I joined the picture about six years ago and we’ve all been friends ever since.
Real Adam: What are you most excited about doing in your new position?
Hannah: Working with all of your awesome clients during a very special time in their lives! I remember how excited I was to plan my wedding and I’m glad to be able to share their excitement with them as they are planning theirs.
Real Adam: What is advice you have to offer couples in regards to their wedding day?
Hannah: Make a conscious effort to absorb every little detail because the day truly does fly by. There’s all this preparation and then the day is over in the blink of an eye and you’re left thinking, “All that planning for this?” It’s crazy! The day could end up being a blur, so I always tell people to focus on absorbing the moment instead of looking forward to the next, take mental snapshots, and remember that at the end of the day what matters is that you and your spouse are married!
Real Adam: If you could do one thing from your wedding over again, what would it be?
Hannah: My husband, Aaron, and I have talked about this a million times! No joke, this is not just because I work for you because I have been saying this since our wedding day; I wish we would have hired a high-quality, creative photographer! Of course we would have hired you but you were in the wedding. It’s really not cliche when they say, you get what you pay for; We didn’t pay very much and we got mediocre photos from photographers who didn’t even know our names when they showed up to start taking pictures. I wish we wouldn’t have skimped on the photography budget because in hind-sight I realize that’s one of the most important details. Choosing a photographer is a big decision because they are the one in charge of telling the story from your special day and creating memories that you’ll look back on in the years to come. In the end you have your spouse, your marriage, and your pictures. So pick a great spouse and pick a great photographer.
Real Adam: What are a few things that really move you and inspire you?
Hannah: Creativity! I’m a creative person and love taking on creative projects! I love telling stories. I’m very passionate about writing and about photography and insanely passionate about telling stories using those two mediums.
Real Adam: If you could be on any TV show what would it be?
Hannah: That’s a dead tie between SNL and 30 Rock. I have a serious talent crush on Tina Fey and I’m a little obsessed with SNL and sketch comedy humor, so I can’t choose between those two.
Real Adam: What is your guilty pleasure?
Hannah: Blogging, eating out and trying new restaurants, fancy coffee, thrifting, and antiques.
Real Adam: Would you rather be a ninja or a pirate?
Hannah: A pirate. So I can intimidate people with my eye patch.
